Khalid  Naitzehou is the proprietor of WL Handmade, offering a unique fusion of Moroccan craftsmanship and modern design, creating custom, one-of-a-kind designer custom-made sneakers that reflect a rich cultural heritage. Founded by Khalid, an artisan born in a rural Amazigh (Berber) village in Southern Morocco, the brand's journey began when Khalid apprenticed with a local sandal maker at the age of nine. Over the next decade, he honed his skills under various leather artisans, learning diverse techniques that blended artistry with textile creation. This extensive training enabled him to develop a distinctive approach to footwear design, incorporating intricate mosaic patterns and vibrant colors.

 

In 2016, Khalid relocated to California, where he continued his craft in a self-made workshop. By 2018, he opened a public shop at LA’s Original Farmers Market, offering handmade sandals, bags, and now, custom-made sneakers that showcase his unique designs. Each pair is meticulously handcrafted, ensuring that no two are alike. The use of high-quality materials and attention to detail results in footwear that is both stylish and durable.
